Dem born Opoku-Agyemang on 22 November 1951, for Cape Coast, Central Region.

She get Bachelor of Arts degree for English and a Diploma in Education from di University of Cape Coast (UCC).

One of di ogbonge tin wey first launch her forward na wen she become di first female Vice Chancellor of any Ghanaian public university. Dem appoint her as di VC of University of Cape Coast.

Prof Opoku-Agyemang begin her journey into politics for 2013 wen she get appointment as Ghana Minister for Education under President John Dramani Mahama administration.

Now, she go serve as vice to Mahama to lead di kontri for four years.
