Multiple arrests have been made at the pro-Palestinian rally, where a swastika was seen on display, aimed at protesting Rockefeller Center’s annual tree lighting.

The protest, which has taken shape outside of the News Corp headquarters in midtown Manhattan, spiraled into chaos on Wednesday night as multiple protesters fought with police and were pepper-sprayed.

A video posted by NJEG Media on X caught the fracas between protesters and police on camera.

The protesters were attempting to knock down the barricades cops put up to keep them separate from the throngs hoping to take in the Big Apple holiday tradition.

Officers and demonstrators were shoving back and forth as protesters called them “f–king Nazis.”

Additional NYPD units were called, law enforcement sources told The Post, adding that officers were being attacked.

“They should have shut it down. They lost control of the street. I was shoved, punched, kicked. It’s bulls–t,” one cop caught in the fray said.

Israel-Hamas truce extended minutes before deal was set to end

The cease-fire between Israel and Hamas was extended minutes before the deal was set to expire, as both sides continued the negotiations on releasing hostages.

“The operational pause will continue in light of the mediators’ efforts to continue the process of releasing the hostages and subject to the terms of the framework,” the IDF announced in a post to X.

The announcement came at 6:54 a.m. local time, six minutes before the deal was expected to expire.

It is the second extension since the original four-day deal went into effect Friday morning.


The cease-fire extension comes after 16 hostages were released by the Hamas terror group in exchange for 30 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had landed in Tel Aviv hours before the deal was extended to enter talks with Israeli officials on the hostage deal with Hamas.

Many in the crowd to see the 91st annual Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting were dismayed by the pro-Palestinian protesters trying to disrupt the festivities — but emphatic that the boisterous rally wouldn’t spoil the holiday tradition.

“Politics has no place at an event like this, but that’s exactly why they do it – to disrupt the status quo, to ruin the things we cherish and take comfort in,” Lillian Gonzalez, 40, of the Bronx told The Post.

“The Christmas tree brings a message of peace, not conflict. That’s why we’re gathered here today, not to protest but to welcome in the holiday season. None of this mob activity is going to take that away from us.”

The unusually rowdy protest dissipated just an hour into the Rockefeller tree lighting ceremony they were aiming to disrupt, instead transiting into a march through Manhattan toward Times Square where they shouted “Shut it down.”
